We are living in a time when the whole world is shaken by global tectonic shifts in the economy, and many industries are experiencing radical changes in their business models, thanks to the recent breakthroughs in AI development. Many new businesses are being created, but just as many are exiting the market, leaving hundreds and thousands of their employees to seek new applications for their skills.

A storm is always a challenge for a ship’s crew, a test of their strength. At the same time, it is also a space for new opportunities, but not everyone wishes to find themselves in a stormy ocean during a 12-point storm. Most of us prefer to stay in calm bays until the storm subsides. However, it has happened that many corporate ships have now found themselves among the waves against their will.

How do we keep the ship on course, stay on board ourselves, and prevent the ship from sinking? Createria begins a series of publications where we will share our vision of where to look, what to do (and what not to do) to feel comfortable in big waves and help your team weather the storm without losses.

Let’s define what matters to us most when we unexpectedly find ourselves in turbulent waves:

  • We need to secure ourselves on deck to withstand the first wave and rally the team.

  • The ship must stay afloat.

  • Ideally, we should strive to move towards a calm bay.

  • It would be desirable to reach that bay ahead of our competitors to secure a place there.

Achieving this is impossible without a strong, cohesive, and motivated team. So, if you haven’t paid much attention to how your colleagues, leadership, and subordinates communicate with you, what values they adhere to, and how well you complement and support each other, now is the time to reflect on it and use scientific methods and approaches to enhance your own productivity and efficiency, as well as the productivity and efficiency of the people and processes that depend on you.

In the upcoming publications, we will explore the most common problems that impact your key metrics and methods to address them.
